Soundtrack Saturday: Everything, Everything (Nicola Yoon)

Soundtrack Saturday is a weekly meme created and run by Erin at The Hardcover Lover.

I’ve been on a blogging hiatus for a month or so, and haven’t done a soundtrack for a while, but I wrote this one way back when I read the book.

This week I decided to do one for Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. I read this a few months ago and just adored it. It’s so charming and heartbreaking all in one. Straight after I knew I had to do a soundtrack for it.

Need You Now – Lady Antebellum

It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now

Said I wouldn’t call but I’ve lost all control and I need you now

And I don’t know how I can do without

I just need you now

Guess I’d rather hurt than feel nothing at all.

You Are In Love – Taylor Swift

For once you let go

Of your fears and your ghosts

One step, not much, but it said enough

You can hear it in the silence

You can feel it on the way home

You can see it with the lights out

You’re in love, true love.

Never Like This – Danielle Bradbury

Wake up, put my feet on the floor

I see colours I’ve never seen before

It scares me and shakes me down to the core

‘Cause I know for certain that nothing’s for sure

It happened so fast, so much to lose

Falling fifty miles an hour without a parachute

Trying to resist, but I can’t refuse

I’m feeling feelings that I never knew

Pirates – Jenny Owen Youngs

Can’t say what’s inside me, or when you might find me

Lying with my face down in the dirt like I never learned how

To stand on my own feet, or make a recovery

If there is a right time darling, well, it’s never been now

I’ll keep coming back

You don’t make me better but you don’t make me worse

After You – Meg Myers

This moment shaking in my hands

I’ll share this secret for a chance

Just to be here with you

Just to get lost with you

I’m falling in deep

Do you already know my love is after you

I Need To Know (I Could) – Coby Grant

I am scared, and I am full of doubt

But I am getting on the plane

I’m leaving like I knew I always would

To follow my heart, and it will be hard

But I am sure that something’s calling me

And I need to know I could
